Adobe Software & Vista Problems

I am under a time crunch so here goes:  I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Standard, my new Laptop w/Vista and a project due on Sunday.  I have downloaded the Adobe software, it appears to have downloaded fine, but when you try to run the software, nothing happens.  It shows up in the Task Manager like it is running, but it never opens and never runs.  I have been to the Adobe website, it is all so technical that I haven't a clue where to begin.  Thought maybe someone here might be of better help.

Mary G,
"Adobe 3 sounds old and probably won't run on Vista".

Mary, you really should do a little research before you post answers to topics of which you are completely ignorant. Just for your information, Adobe Creative Suite 3 is Adobe's LATEST and MOST UP TO DATE OFFERING.

krathbun,
I really can't help you out here. Although CS3 is supposed to be completely Vista compliant, there have been other posts with similar problems. The Adobe site would be the logical place to look for answers.

Start the task manager and see if it is already running. Kill the process and try to restart.
