Advanced Error Log Problems

I need help.  I received my Dimension 2400 in April of this year and I am having trouble trying to get it to perform correctly.  Every time I log on to my computer an error of one kind of another is recorded in the Advanced Error Log. I have listed 2 below.

The timeout waiting for the performance data collection function 'Spooler' in the 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\winspool. drv' Library to finish has expired. There may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service it is collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this call was attempted.

The IPSEC Services service terminated with the following error: The attempted operation is not supported for the type of object referenced.

I have tried to get help from DELL and MSN.  My latest from DELL is suggeting that I do a clean install, which I feel very uncomfortable doing.  I have listed my last correspondence from MSN below.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you for contacting MSN Technical Support.

Revanche, we understand that you are getting an error 'Spooler' in the 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\winspool. drv' Library to finish has expired. We realize how frustrating the situation could be and we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. Please be assured that we will try our best to assist you and help you in getting the issue resolved.

We are sorry for not being able to assist you with the issue directly as my expertise is related only to MSN Internet Access related technical issues. To best resolve the issue, we request you to contact your system vendor as they are specially trained to handle such issues.

Revanche, we specially thank you for your the valuable information you have given. However, we are sorry to say that your system vendor (the place from where you have bought your system and operating system got installed) is the right person to help you with this issue. We hope you are enjoying our products and services and we want all our customers to enjoy our services. Please be ensured that we are here to assist you with any MSN related issues. We will be glad to assist you.

Revanche, There is no software as such you described in the mail. It can't even be used even it is available because it may raise ethical and legal problems to you.

I did not describe any software, just listed a couple of the most frequent errors that I receive, so I don't have a clue as to what the above means.

Hmm, performance counter problems can be tricky, and I am surprised you should get an IPSec error, since you should not need nor use that sevice in standard home or small-business, which I assume is the case for you (forget the communication from the support person; that guy is obviously a) completely clueless and b) an idiot to boot...).

To try and decode your event error messages, you could go to www.eventid.net, and see if you can find some advice there. Otherwise, however, I am afraid a clean re-install may be your best bet.

OK, I did the Clean Reinstall and my computer is still very slow.  I picked up the Sasser virus while doing the reinstall and I think I've gotten rid of it.  I have McAfee  firewall and antivirus software enabled.   I'm still getting the following error:  "The IPSEC Services service terminated with the following error: The attempted operation is not supported for the type of object referenced." Any suggestions?

I emailed DELL Support and got the following:
