Another unwanted program installation!

Today Dell installed their 'Dell Customer Connect' program to my computer.  No request for permission and no explanation as to what this is.  If you look at the directory contents, a number of files are named OTBsurvey.  This folder contains several exe files that I can only assume that Dell can initiate since they install programs whenever they decide to.  This is spyware being installed on my computer.  Dell has no right to invade my computer.  I own this computer, not Dell.  Dell's policies are bordering on criminal behavior.  I have no confidence that information on my computer is 'safe' from the company I purchased it from.  Wow, has Dell taken a nose dive in credibility.  I've purchased 7 Dell's over many years and this will be my last.

Remove the program in Add/remove Programs and run your anti malware utility like Malwarebytes.  Lots of malware fakes support stuff like this. I can't find anything about it on the official dell site.

Consider using System Restore to go back a few days or get more help if you can't remove it.

If you don't want Dell to add programs to your computer, turn off or remove Dell Update.

FWIW, Dell Customer Connect was added to my Dell Tablet the other day, and I think added to my XP Dell laptop.  I don't have Dell Update on my W8.1 Desktop, so it wasn't added there.

I don't know the purpose of that program.
