Assets Tracking DataBase via Web Services
Hi there,
Im currently building a .Net based Windows/Web/Blackberry client asset tracking application which will require the system to display detailed specs for the dell products. My current solution is creating a Dell products database from scratch and add the products and specs to it manually. However I think i might be reinventing the wheel here.
Is there a Web service available from DELL that I can consume from my applications instead of using my custom database. E.g Service which gives me products categories, products, graphics/images of products etc.

Old thread, I know, but I wanted to let others searching for this topic know that http://xserv.dell.com/services/assetservice.asmx?op=GetAssetInformation exists, but I personally am having issues with the service not responding after 2-3 queries. It would appear there is a rate limiter on this service. If anyone could provide some more information about this web service, it would be greatly appreciated.
