Base System Device driver

Question

I am trying to find driver for base system device (Dell inspiron 1420). Problem began with computer being plugged in but not charging  So i uninstalled microsoft ACPI in device manager in the batteries section Then put battery back in and attempted to scan for hardware changes and keep getting 'base system device, no driver found' Tried to manually check for it online but to no avail (all updates are good) Also getting a constantly popping up message reading 'Drive G not formatted' and the options available does not work Can I get some help on this please?

It may be either the chipset or the NSS.
