Blue Screen Error
Basically I am getting the STOP: 0x00000024 blue screen error. Now I am not trying to be redundant because I searched that error and found numerous entries on it. But after more than two hours of reading through all of those I am still left with the problem, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Okay two things: My dell is a Dimension 8400 desktop. I do not have the Windows XP cds that a lot of the replies seem to talk about. Regardless of if I run in Safe Mode or any other mode I still get the blue screen error.
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could help out with ANY advice at all.

From desktop, click start>run
type in: chkdsk c: /f
click ok
You'll get a message offering to run chkdsk at next boot. Accept that offer and reboot. chkdsk will run before XP loads again.
Have you read this:

If you never received the XP CD, read this:

You're probably going to need an XP CD, so read this:

And don't forget you now have to reinstall all Microsoft updates for XP, Internet Explorer, Office, etc. Do that ASAP so you don't risk malware infections.
Good lock!
