Blue Screen stating Physical Memory Dump??
Hi everyone and ty in advance for any help you can give me
I have a Dell Computer that is just about 2 1/2 months old and my computer restarts itself for absolutly no reason. Also, my screen suddenly goes to a blue screen with a huge error message stating (this happens about 8 times a day); and Ill point out what I think seems to be the important parts: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. RQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. It then goes on to give Technical Information: **Stop: OXOOOOOOOA(OXOOOOOO8O,OXOOOOOOO2, OXOOOOOOO1, OX806BD94A) Beginning dump of Physical Memory. Physical Memory Dump Complete. I have run virus scans, reformatted, did system restores, with no success. I've called Dell and their solution was to unplug every wire then plug them all back in
. Surprise! It didnt work lol. I only know the computer basics and am completely at my wits end. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much:)

Those symptoms, especially in the view of everything that you have tried so far, suggest strongly that your computer may have a hardware problem of some sort. You may want to contact Dell again hoping that this time you end up talking to someone who knows how to troubleshoot computers rather than simply reading pre-written scripts.

You should have a disk with diagnostics on it, use it!

We had the same problem with our Dimension 4550. It began after we had the computer for about six months. We installed the ATI TV program which uses alot of memory. We contacted Dell and they had us reinstall windows and were told not to do any more windows updates. None of that worked
Our solution was going into Startup in MSCONFIG and turning off programs that were needed upon start up. To further resolve our problem we bought 512 MB of RAM uping our total to 768 MB of Ram. We have not had our "Blue screen of death " since
PS we bought the 512 MB of RAM at Crucial.com for about $100
Hope that helps.
