Boot sequence acting odd
I have a Dell XPS410 E6400, 3gb mem, 250HD, 500HD, Xp media Sp3, 9800GTX+ 512mb. I have the newest Bios version installed and all drivers. During Boot sequence a screen appeares and asks me to choose between Xp Pro or XP Media stays on approx. 3 seconds and loads my OS. After that another screen pops up and shows a bar at the bottom similar to a install progress bar this lasts approx. 2 seconds. This just started to happen a couple days ago. Should I do a system restore or Flash the Bios or could someone give me a little advice on whats going on. Thanks.

Nice Home town.. Just happens to be my hometown. Born and raised there...
Try this Go to Start, run type msconfig. go to the boot tab and see if there are two listings. for OS's there.

Westfield is a great place to live. Thanks for your advice Davet50. Thats exactly what I did found it in the BOOT.INI tab. Showed a file path for Xp Media and Xp Pro. I just removed the file path for Xp Pro and everything went back to normal. Wierd maybe a recent install changed my settings or somthing. Thanks for answering I wasn't sure if this forum was dead or I was asking my question in the wrong place. Go Bombers!!!! How do you like that GTX260 you have?? Thinking about replacing my 9800GTX+ it actually can't run Cryostasis. I need a shader 4.0 my card has 3.0 shader.
