Browser Problem?

I posted before and tried to edit my post but didnt work. I have a problem visiting a couple of websites I have visited them many times before but suddenly cant get there.  www.fargopolice.com &   www.ndcourts,gov/publicsearch/
I am operating a Dimension 4500 with Windows XP using Internet Explorer for a default Browser, with mozilla and yahoo also. I tried calling my ISP tech supp and was on the phone for about 40 minutes with them and no results. They suggested a browser problem but no clues on how to fix it. I tried going into set default settings under Custom and Microsoft settings but it doesnt change.  Any help out there?

Yes I did delete cookies and Temp files I do that regularly. I am using XP firewall but how can I check if I have others? I have a couple of spyware cleaners and I tried closing them and then go to the sites,  No Luck.

I checked your previous thread and did you try as suggested to clean cookies and temp files?

OK,every browser you try fails but the tech support suspects a brower issue.,hummmm.

Do you have a third party firewall,or are you using XP's firewall?

Do you have any programs that may be blocking these sites?I had the same problem some time ago and it was being blocked by spybot.

"I am using XP firewall but how can I check if I have others?"

You would know cause you have to install it.

====================

I tried the link you provided with no problems.

What exactly happens when you try these sites, blank page, error message etc.

What is the error message with each browser?

You don't have to check for additional firewalls since all you have is XP's firewall.

The problem with error codes such as "page cannot be displayed"is that they are generic.

RECAP:
1)You have no third party programs which may be preventing you from connecting to certain sites.
2)Scans show no problems.
3)No problem with the site cause I was able to connect
4)Cookies and such were cleaned.
5)Unable to connect with all of your browsers.

Take a look in event viewer, sometimes it gives a clue.

Start>run>eventvwr.msc>in the left pane there are three categories, application, security and system.

Click on them one at a time to highlight ( the problem will probably show in the system category) and in the right pane what is the source, category and event.

You can right click on the error in question, than check properties.

This is the newest version 2.01.507 and download it from filehippo.com

This will do a thorough job of cleaning.Use the cleaner button.

NOTE: when installing ccleaner make sure you uncheck the box the offers yahoo tool bar, that is of course unless you want it.
