C++ DAO Components fail to install

I am trying to install Visual C++ 5.0 on my Dell Inspiron 9200.  I am running XP Home SP2.  I have this software installed on four other computers (NOT Dell) and it runs with no problem.  I can not find or think of any installed programs on my Dell that would present compatibility issues with the C++ 5.0. 

  Are there any compatibility issues with the Dell Inspiron that I should be aware of?
