CCleaner Utility Tool
I wondered if anyone uses the "Issue" tool to clean their Registry in the "CCleaner Utility Tool". Is it safe to use? I use the "Clean" tool and it always works great. I feel I need to cleanup my registry. Is this one ok or is there a better free one? I realize I need to use caution with these reistry tools. Thanks.

Hi
I have used it many times without problems.
Just use the backup feature. I made a folder for the CCleaner backups and after
a month i just delete them.

The only (few) times I have used a registry cleaner (in cluding CCleaner) is when an uninstall of software failed and I had to uninstall it manually. However, I check each item found to make sure it's really redundant. Never blindly use the fix all option.
That said, CCleaner's registry scan is somewhat less aggressive than other registry cleaners I have tested, and consequently what it finds is mostly safe to fix.

I have never solved any problem nor seen any improvement in performance following use of a registry cleaner, and stopped using them long ago. These boards are filled with posts detailing the problems they can cause when used as a general maintenance tool. In experienced hands, and for specific fixes, as indicated above they may be of some use. I have usually been able to find specific registry edits for such problems.
I use CCleaner, but only for general cleanup, and stay away from the applications and 'issues'.
YMMV

In Spybot, choose Advanced Mode, select Tools, and click System Startup.

The actual links or tools Is kinda hard to try but try this and see if it helps.
I have made the right instructions to how to use the ccleaner issues fixer. If youve used other than these options you may really affect your pc in the future. Fair warning If you already have.
CCleaner - (Please only check these for the Issues Section Under Registry Integrity- Missing Shared DLLs, Applications, Fonts, Application Paths, Help Files, Obsolete Software, Run At Startp, Start Menu Ordering, MUI Cache, And all FI. Make a backup only if you feel neccesary but it would be wise to do that. If you feel you do not need to make a backup and feel sure that you do not need a backup please feel free to not make once as doing this may help or not help you.-In settings try to have it on NSA 7 passes.
For the windows tab check everything except autocomplete form history. Also here is a registry guide for learning.

And FOr ccleaner I dont usually make backups. As long as those instuctions are followed and chkdsk twice a month like once every 15 days you should be fine. (or ust once a month middle). Registry Mechannic is also a good tool. Shows you where to go. Use guide to help learn. Some registries may also be infetions. So to help solve this get adware se/spybot and some other good ones. If needed more help here Is my website. Outdated for now but still helpful.
