CMOS checksum error - default loaded

Question

Hi Guys I am getting CMOS checksum error - default loaded. by pressing (del) i go into the set and change the 1st boot option to hard drive which was target to cdrom. then i save the changes and boot. it work. i restart my computer and i get the same error. so these time i press F1 and it boots smoothly. then i shutdown my machine and removed the cmos jumper and plued to next two pin for five minuter and remove it and placed it back to its original position. still i get the same error. what if reinstall the whole system. will that solve my problem. i am having really hard time these machine. i had home edition and then tried to upgrade with xp pro and upgrade ram also. then i had problem with other drivers which i had to download from internet. and the first driver i install was chipset. is it beacuse of that? any help. thanks
