Can I Ghost Windows XP built from a Reinstall CD?

Can I use Ghost and image my laptop on to 8 others if it was built using the factory load of Windows XP or the Reinstall CD that came with it? 

I recall something about needing to use a Microsoft Windows XP Volume License Agreement CD (and Sysprep for XP for the same specific Service Pack I have installed) or the SID doesn’t reset and the OS will only run for a short time –a with limited ability.    Can anyone clear this up for me I really don’t want to ‘stick build’ 8 new systems?
