Cannot Write Message in Community Forums !!!!

I am using another computer (obviously) to post this message. I can log on but I have tried several times unsuccessfully to write a message. Cn anyone help me out.  Win XP, Dell 8100.  IE 6.0 Browser. Nothing happens. Any suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks

On the other computer were you 'logged in'?  if you're not logged in you can't post, but you can read the posts...

Sorry, that is just too simple an answer.  Yes I was logged on, my username at the top of the page but when I hit "new message" like I have done here, nothing happened...and I waited... Any  help would be much appreciated.

Have you changed your browser settings? This site requires active scripting. I have that set to prompt in IE (which can be annoying). The setting in under Security>Internet. Click on "custom" and view the settings. It is listed as Scripting and Active Scripting is beneath that heading. If you make that change, click on "okay" and "yes" when prompted if you really want to make this change.

I had a problem earlier at this forum - after previewing a reply when I wanted to make a change I couldn't type anything, I couldn't even highlight the text to copy it. I have no idea of what that was about, but that was using IE. I came back with Mozilla.

I hope the scripting setting helps. Otherwise, I don't know what else it could be.
