Cannot load secure web pages - "page cannot be found error"

Whenever I try to load a secure web page (Yahoo mail for example), I get a "Page Cannot be Found" error message. I'm running Windows XP, Explorer 6.0.29 with 128-bit encryption. Cleaned out cahce and all that stuff, but the problem happens in ALL 3 web browsers I have.

Is this an XP issue? If so, how do I fix?

Thanks.

You should check the firewall settings on your computer.  It is possible that is preventing the page from loading.  Also, if it is a computer such as at work, it might have a content filter, having blocked sites.  If it was purchased second hand, that could also be the problem.  It might also be a virus protection program.  Those can sometimes block sites you don't want blocked.  You could also check into the IE options and see if the sites are blocked in there.  Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Nope. I also have a laptop using the same connection and there's no issue. I believe it is a problem with Windows XP, but not sure how to correct

Do you have a firewall installed other than the one that came with XP?  If so disable it and try to connect.  I had this problem with IE6.  However,  firefox would work ok with it.
