Click and drag your cursor near one or more icons to highlight it, then click on any icon and the number of icons you highlighted will move.

Thanks for the reply, but it was working intill I had some problems with windows. Now i cannot multiple sellect with shift and ctrl.

OH I THOUGHT YOU MENT SELECT !!! my bad:mantongue: well try clicking ONCE on any icon that is ontop of another and then press the Up-left-right or down arrow keys on the key board

Thanks Alex, that works, but its not quite as conveniant as being able to just click on the files or folders to select them as it used to be.

Oh that's what you ment! Ok go to Control panell>Appearence and themes>folder options. then select "Single click to point to an item". Hope that helps

Thanks Alex,

 I rolled back the touchpad driver, I assume it reset things to the default, which would be the same as what you suggested.
