I am running Windows XP Home Edition and I cannot remove a program from starting up when I log on to my account. I have tried removing it from the start-up folder, I have used msconfig. Nothing seems to work.
It started when my son clicked ignore or something on a message box when he was on AIM in his account. Now, whenever I log on to my account, or my wife logs on to hers, AIM starts up - my son's AIM account, no less.
I have also tried System Restore with no luck. I have a feeling it is in my register, but I don't know how to edit that or what to look for. Any help?
Thank you.

Click on the Setup wrench in the signon screen and it has boxes you can uncheck.
Thanks for the quick response. Tried that, didn't work. I do not want AIM coming up at all. It shows up in my programs running section of the taskbar. It never used to do that before.
Something is telling Windows to start the AIM program. I tried going into msconfig and unchecking aim in the start-up section, but that didn't work.
