Cannot run NFS Most Wanted in full resolution

I played the copy pasted folder's NFS most wanted.exe file previously. The resolution was not totally covered by the screen. Both the sides were cut and i could only see the a narrow part of the game in the middle which is totally frustrating. This is a Dell XPS 15 which is absolutely a gaming computer. It has 6GB and 1GB of NVidia. So, there is absolutely some issue with the software to make it widescreen.
