I know ccapp is part of norton. However it keeps poppin up in a gray box saying error and It has performed an internal message and will be shut down. It popped up this morning when my scan disc was trying to run. Any suggestions would be appreciated......

Seasons4,
Windows has two main operating modes - normal mode and safe mode. The term "audit mode" does not refer to Windows 98. Since the error message occurs when using Symantec products, I would suggest that you completely uninstall the program and then reinstall it.

Seasons4,
Windows is running in "Audit Mode".
This happens when the PC manufacturer does not turn off this setting before your PC leaves the factory. When "Audit Mode" is turned on, it prevents your Symantec product from finishing its setup. Be sure and run your "Automated Support Assistant" in Symantec for clues on errors.
