Changing Boot drive letter

Question

Is it possible to change the boot drive letter?  I did a clean install of XP Home on my XPS 410 that had Vista on it.  During the install it named my boot drive I: instead of C:  along with the rest of the drives.  I managed to change all the others, but it says I can't change the boot drive.  Where do you set this up during the install and do you think this will give me any problems the way it is now? As in XP, you cannot change the drive letter assigned to the boot or system partition, for this you will need to reinstall Vista.
