Clear pagefile at shutdown
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314834 does not include Win7 Home Premium in the "Applies to" section for this edit. Something preventing this from working in HP ?

For online banking purposes I think the pagefile should be cleared (on rebooting). Since MS doesn't have Home Premium version included in this link I am concerned that even if I add it to the registry with value of 1 the pagefile won't be cleared; it's a security question related to HP version. Nothing wrong with my system.

Hi maxd,
I am replying on behalf of Dell Vikram M.
Windows uses a page file to store data that can’t be held by your computer’s random-access memory when it fills up. While you can tweak the page file settings, Windows can manage the page file fine on its own. It is similar to a case when we use any intensive application on computer and RAM become full, the system stores the information on the hard drive of computer in form of .sys file. Windows 7 Home premium does not have the feature to disable/enable the pagefile. Information stored on volatile memory of hard drive will be wiped out once the system restarts. You may ensure to clear the cookies and browsing history before you logout from any website.
For Internet security reasons, you may install a good anti-virus on your computer and keep it updated.
Hope it helps.
