Clearing Auto Update Cache

Hi,

I have set my Auto Updates to download updates but let me choose when to install.

After seeing so many negative posts about SP2 with Auto Update, I am now thinking of waiting for the SP2 CD and installing the lot.

So if  Auto Updates downloads SP2 and I then decide to use the CD instead, how do I clear the already downloaded cache from wherever it may be hidden on my hard drive?

Thanks...

Make sure your system is not already updated. To find out press Windows key and Pause key or right click on my computer if it is on your desktop. Read your XP version and see if it also includes SP2. You may also find it listed in your Add/Remove Programs if it has been installed.

The "cache" used should either be in the Temp folder, Temp Internet files folder, or downloaded programs folder. There may even be a windows update folder. You may have to go into your folder options to modify viewing hidden folders and files. By using Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) it should show eventually in one of these locations when it can be safely deleted.
