Closing the lid of L502X turns off WiFi

Hi, I'm using an L502X on Win7 64bit. I have set win7 to "Do Nothing" when I close the lid. Now the notebook doesn't go into sleep mode, but it does turn the screen and WiFi off when I close the lid. How can I keep the WiFi alive?

Edit: The wifi doesn't turn off completely, but the speed is reduced to the tenth of the original. The Power saving mode of Wirelesss Adapter is set to "Maximum Performance".

Start>Control Panel>Power Options> choose "Change advanced Power Setting">Wireless Adapter Setting, check that setting.

Thank you for your help, but it's already on "Maximum Performance" when plugged in. But it looks like my question was wrong. The WiFi doesn't turn off completely, it only goes into some kind of power saving mode, the download speed is about the tenth when the lid is closed, even though it's set to Maximum Performance.
