While you're waiting for the Dell disks, reboot and press F8 before XP starts to load. Select Last Known Good from the list. If you're very lucky, it will boot up. In that case, just shut down normally and reboot once more, and you should be good to go.
If not, when you get your disks, first thing to do is boot from the XP CD and launch the Recovery Console (press R at the Welcome screen).
At the C:\ prompt, type in:
chkdsk c: /r
Press Enter and go take a nice nap. When it's done, remove the XP CD and see if it will boot now.
If not, reboot from the XP CD and run a Repair/Reinstall of XP (press Enter at the Welcome screen). If you run a Repair/Reinstall, your personal files and software should be ok, but you will have to reinstall all XP updates and hotfixes again, and asap.
If you run a Reformat/Reinstall, everything on your hard drive will be lost. :emotion-5:

If you are a US user go HERE and request a set of disks. For non US customers you need to contact your applicable tech support.
