Configuring Windows XP Security Center With McAfee Firewall and Virus 10.

I seem to have a problem with having the Windows XP security settings stay consistant with McAfee products.
i.e. The windows update on setting continues to turn to off after logging back into my PC (I receive a ballon alert)
Also how should the Windows firewall and virus protection be set (on or off)

cmm933,

Only one firewall and one antivirus program should be active on a system at any time. Since you are using McAfee, you should disable Windows' Internet Connection Firewall. Windows XP does not have a native antivirus capability.

I am pretty much aware of what you stated.

My problem is that the windows ballon alert keeps poping up after I log in and tells me that Windows update is turned off. I turn it on and then the same alert pops up again when I log in.

Also how do you turn the firewall and virus protection off. Is this done through the security center?
