Control Panel - Printers

I am using Windows Vista.

I have two printers - one for general emails and one for photos.

When I want to print out an email it comes up with the right printer without any problems.  Similarly when I want to print a photo it comes up with the correct printer (after having put a new printer lead into the computer).  What puzzles me is that the Control Panel page for Printers is empty.  I used to have the printers identified on this page and one of them was selected as my default printer.  I now have no printers identified.  Should I have to do something to correct this or is it something I could ignore?

Any help appreciated - Thanks

In vista and win 7, printers are under Devices and Printers in Control Panel. Type Devices and Printers in the Start Box or access it from the Start Menu. You should see your printers there. You can select the default printer and change the settings.
