Went to uninstall a program and found that from the Control Panel, the add/remove programs panel not showing ANY entries! Does anyone know what could be done to rectify this?

Every time you open Add or Remove Programs it will show a message like 'Please wait while the list is being populated'. Leave this for about half a minute then it should show you the list. It will take longer if you have more programs installed.

If it doesn't first time, restart you computer. If still no success, try using System Restore to return to a point when it was working. Post back here if you are still having problems by then.

hi msd-btd

(1) try creating a new user account and see if you still have the same problem

click on start > control panel > user accounts click on create a new account > type a new name for the user > click on next > if you want you can make the new user account administrator or limited its upto you and at the bottom right click on create account

(2) Also try going to safemode and see if still have the same problem

at the dell logo press the F8 key select the safemode option for the user name click on the administrator account it will give you a pop-up screen which says the system is running in safe mode to proceed click on yes / no select the yes option go to the control and see if you are still blank

good luck and god bless
