Crashes on Re-Boot: "Multiple IRP Complete Requests"
I run a 1 year old Dell desktop with a 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 (Xeon), tons of RAM, and Win 2000 Professional with all current Service Packs. My system crashes *repeatedly* on re-boot, after reaching the point where icons have been displayed on the desktop, and auo-launch items like "Popup-Stopper" and "MSN Messenger" are opening. The error message is "Multiple IRP Complete Requests . . . Physical memory being saved to disk." Does anyone know the cause and the fix for this problem? I'm also experiencing 10-15 system crashes per week during operations such as copying and pasting from one MS Office XP application to another -- this machine is unstable, unreliable and seemingly messed-up at the level of the operating system.

See the results of this Google Web search and this Google newsgroups search for some ways this crash can happen. Knowing which module the crash occurs in may narrow down the possible cause.
Are the crashes while the system is running the same type? Have you scanned the machine for viruses?
