DCOM Error
I have just rebuilt my PC and have started to get a DCOM time out error which slows down starting up significantly.
The problem appeared a few hours after installing Windows - and must have been triggered either by Windows Updates or installing Visual Studio or SQL Server. How can the problem be corrected? I have searched the MS Forums and not come across any solutions. The error message is below.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10010
Date: 05/11/2010

HERE is a fix. Try it and see if it works for you. (I found this doing a google search for "DCOM time out error")

I got ris of the problem by rebuilding the PC. I think it is caused by ceratin applications not running properly in Windows....
