Dell sub par technical support

Question

I was having issues with my IE8 so I downloaded IE9 Beta which made it worse so I decided to re-install Windows 7, my version was a free upgradable version from Dell. I got a display stating my product key has expired. I called Dell  and well and was told to re-installing Vista then Windows 7 upgrade assistant and then Windows 7 upgrade which would have took hours. I wasn't happy withthe service and was told by supervisor that I had to do what the tech said and that no other help was availableThe supervisor and the tech said thy could not give me a product key and I would have to buy another product key. I didnt listen to them and called Microsoft and they gave me a product key so I could activate my copy of Windows 7. Dell's Tech Support suck big time and I will never buy another Dell product. You are very lucky that Microsoft gave you what you wanted. The "normal" procedure is what the Dell tech gave you.

However, all you had to do was uninstall I.E.9 Beta. I just did that as I downloaded it and didn't like it and wanted to go back to I.E.8. There is a listing of all the Microsoft updates and going to that listing allows you to uninstall an update if desired. I just did that this morning on mine to get back to I.E.8.

Wow. Talk about an overreaction. Next time just do an uninstall. You've heard of that practice, haven't you? Sheesh.
