Devices and printers identifies my desktop computer as a laptop and displays the wrong icon

I had a weird problem I just noticed recently, In the devices and printers window my XPS 8300 computer is somehow listed as a laptop, when it is a desktop. As seen here

Before the icon was the generic desktop icon, the thing is I can remember exactly when it changed or what caused it to change like that. I searched around and found this tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2403006 which seemed to fix the problem, briefly, then it reverted back to the laptop icon, what's weird is I ran the tool again, but turned off my wireless so any information about the devices could not be downloaded, and the icon looked normal. Then I turned the wireless back on and it went back to the laptop icon. How can I fix this?

Weird,  I wonder if this has to do with a botched windows update?  I read somewhere there was a security update that broke videos for a bunch of different programs.
