Digital Signature
Hello All,
Recently I made the mistake of uninstalling the Dell Support Center (Software updates) from my system. When to Dell's update site http://www.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/services/en/dsc_home?c=us&l=en to update and get the Dell Support Center’s automated update and notification Alerts.
When I tried to download the update from content.dellsupportcenter.com, while it was searching for the update, I got this error message: "There was a conflict with a downloaded rule's digital signature". When into internet options, advanced and unchecked the signatures on downloaded programs to see if this would help, but it did not. Still would not download. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this update to download.

I cleared the problem by uninstalling both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Java, rebooting and then installing the 64-bit version of Java ONLY.
(This was causing other apps not to start - Adobe Media Player and McAfee Security Centre).
