Dimension 4550 will only boot in safe mode after window update instaled

Hi
 
I have been rebuilding my desk top Dimension 4550 back to original state, each time I load Win XP pro it boots fine, I have updated drivers and BIOS, then I download Window updates all 84 and install. After this instlation it will not reboot only in safe mode.
 
I have no other apps instaled
 
Any ideas???????????? :smileysad:

Boot into the Safe Mode Options screen and choose
'Safe mode with command prompt'
 
At the command prompt type
C:\Windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

This will open System Restore.  Restore to before the Updates.
 
Then at the Updates Site choose "Custom".  Deselect everything and install only a few at a time, starting at the bottom of the list.  This will help you to find the culprit.

Install IE7 on its own as it is large and requires user input
