Directx 11 problems
Ok so I am running windows 7 on an Inspiron 2305
The issue I am having is with DirectX. When I start DirectX and select the display or sound tab, there are no settings tabs for me to change anything.
I am also having the same issue with the advance tab in display settings, I cannot acces advance setting to get to the video accelerator slider and whatever else is in the advanced settings. The box is there, but it will not let me select it

Hi reenos99,
Welcome to Dell Community Forum.
I understand that you are unable to change settings for Direct X and also unable to access the advanced tab in display settings.
ISSUE 1:- Microsoft DirectX is required for running the multimedia features contained within Windows. There is no way to access or make changes to individual DirectX settings. Kindly ensure that you have the latest version of the Direct X by following the link
download.microsoft.com/.../dxwebsetup.exe
ISSUE 2:- As far as accessing the advanced display settings is concerned, this computer is shipped with an ATI graphics card.
• Kindly uninstall the video drivers
• Click on Start >> type “Device Manager” in Search Field >> Click on Device Manager.
• Select “Display Adapters” and uninstall the drivers listed below.
• Navigate to "Uninstall a program" (under the "Programs" category) in Windows 7. Find the listing for Catalyst Install Manager and choose change. A window will open. Choose next and then click the radio button that reads "Express uninstall ALL ATI Software". Choose next again and complete the uninstallation. After it is completed, when prompted, restart your computer.
• Please update the drivers by following the link:

• Please try to change the settings after system reboot. Right click on the desktop >> Select “Catalyst Control Center”.
Please revert for any further queries.
Thanks,
