ES Internet explorer cannot display the webpage
Upon boot I get a window stating the above error message.
What is ES? and does anyone have any clues as to what is causing this?
Thanks - Steve Simonds

Hi Steve Simonds,
Welcome to the community.
ES Internet Explorer would either mean that language preference for the browser have been changed to Spanish or there is a virus, spyware infection on the system.
You can check the link below for resolving this issue:

Thanks Sandeep. This problem only occurs when I boot the computer. IE works fine otherwise. But, every time I boot I get a window with this error - before I do anything on the computer. I have a screen shot of the window with the error that I could send you. I don't know hot to include it in this reply.

Hi Steve Simonds,
If this issue only occurs when you boot the system it would be caused by one of the startup programs on the system. Please disable the startup programs following the steps below:
Clearing startup:
Click on start
For XP Click on run and type msconfig.
For Vista or 7 Click on start search box and type msconfig.
Click ok or press enter in Vista or 7.
It will bring a new window system configuration utility.
Click on the startup tab then click on disable all.
Click apply. Click close.
It will prompt to restart click on restart and system will be restarted without any startup programs.
If the error message stops and you wish to identify which program is causing the issue, then you disable the programs one by one to know the cause of the issue.
You can send me the screenshot of the error on Private message as well by selecting the option for inserting picture at the top menu.
Thanks and Regards

I'm very new to these forums, I don't know how to send you a private message. I can't seem to find a page with that capability or a menue for inserting pictures.
I'll try what you suggest and let you know as it only happend upon boot.

Sandeep - I found the problem. Comcast added an application to my system a while ago calles "Easy Solve" - the ES in the error window. I removed that application and the problem dissappeared.
I had some luck with removing startup programs. The problem was I would get an error saying there was an access problem because I was not an adminstrator. But my login does have adminstrator privledges . I would have to mark the program deleted twiice. Then when I would finally get a program that seemed to cause the error windoe to stop happening, I would add it back in to see if the error returned and it would not fail. That happened several times so I gave up on finding one program that was causing the problem. I am guessing that the Esay Solve application had a timing problem shen it started up and I would purturb that timing while removing and adding back the startup programs. When I removed the Easy Solve program one or two of the startup programs were removed also. And it hasn't failed again. I think this Easy Solve program has bugs and has done damage to my system.
Thanks for your help.
