If you're referring to Adobe Acrobat Reader v6.0, I had nothing but trouble with it on just about every machine I tried to install it on, and reverted to version 5.05. Everything worked fine after that.
The Acrobat installer needs to put files in the Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents folder. If the permissions aren't set to allow access, the installer returns an error. Setting permissions to the All Users folder and its child folders provides full access to the Shared Documents folder.

Hi Pamela,
I'v set the permissions as you said but I have still the same problem and its the only problem on my PC. What could be the problem ??

This error is more often than not, a permissions issue.
