EVENT ID 11708
Hi DELL,
we try since 2 weeks to install on one new DELL OPTIPLEX 260 PC with windows XP Pro to install the Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional and the installation abort allways with event id 11708, source: msiinstaller. All othe applications we could install without any problem.
How we can solve these problem ???

If you're referring to Adobe Acrobat Reader v6.0, I had nothing but trouble with it on just about every machine I tried to install it on, and reverted to version 5.05. Everything worked fine after that.

The Acrobat installer needs to put files in the Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents folder. If the permissions aren't set to allow access, the installer returns an error. Setting permissions to the All Users folder and its child folders provides full access to the Shared Documents folder.

Hi Pamela,
I'v set the permissions as you said but I have still the same problem and its the only problem on my PC. What could be the problem ??

This error is more often than not, a permissions issue.
Check here and see if anything helps.
