End Program windows when shutting down

When I shut down, I regularly (not always) must manually close "End Program" windows...following are examples: CCApp, CCAPP.EXE, DefAlert_Windows_29DABAC8-AB93...,CCAPP.EXE, Isalert_Windownname_{DA5EA)..., NortonVirus, DadTray, MusicMatchTrayApplet, tgmad.exe, dlbtBMGR, Notification Wnd for RNAdmin, dbltmon, kmw-run.exe. EXPLORER.EXE.   How can I eliminate this?

I had problems with ccApp; there's a good solution on the Symantec site, although I'm sorry I can't remember it now. It worked for me.

Get Windows installed properly, and remove the stuff that shouldn't be running automatically when Windows starts, i.e., Music Match (MusicMatchTrayApplet), DADTray (an essentially useless item Dell insists on having auto-start, whether it's a good idea or not), Real Player (RNAdmin), and quite possibly whatever is causing "dbltmon," "kmw-run.exe" and "dlbtBMGR" to be running all the time, as they don't appear to be necessary either.  Use either the individual application Options or msconfig/Startup to disable this stuff and then see how things work.  The CCApp and DefAlert entries are related to Norton Anti Virus.  You can lose the DefAlert entry (notifies you on startup if your definitions are out of date) via NAV options, but the CCApp and any other Norton stuff should stay.

Go to microsoft.com and download/install User Profile Hive Cleanup (uphclean.exe). It loads automatically when you boot and then cleans up a lot of the mess at shutdown.
