Hi,
I think you will need to look in the registry for this one.
This is as easy as I can make it.

When you open regedit (instructions below) you will see 2 panes. I will be asking you to click through entries in the LEFT pane and you cannot do any damage just doing this. Damage is done by changing/deleting entries from the RIGHT pane.

So, go to
Start/Run and type in
Regedit
OK

You will see the 2 panes.
Now, always working in the LEFT pane click through the following using the scroll bars at the side and bottom to view them properly

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserShellFolders.

By this I mean,
Click on the + in front of “HKEY_CURRENT_USER”

From the entries which drop down from this click on the + in front of “Software”

From the entries which drop down from this click on the + in front of “Microsoft”

And so on until you see “UserShellFolders”
Click once on “UserShellFolders”

Now just LOOK at the entries in the RIGHT pane.  Do not click in the pane, just look for “My Pictures” in the list on the left hand side of this pane.

Take a note of what is written along from “My Pictures”.  If there is more than one entry take a note of them all and post them back.

For instance mine says
REG_EXPAND_SZ  %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures

 Exit regedit.

Sorry ot intrude on thread, but I am having identical problem attempting to install itunes on my Dell PC...

reviewing my registy editor under this path I find under the heading of "Type" REG_SZ and under the heading of "Data" G:\My Pictures.

The other listings look different.  Under the heading of "Data" most read %USERPROFILE%\ nad then the name...

Any ideas?
