Doing a google search for that error code says it will happen if you test a CD/DVD burner drive but there is no media (writeable disc) in the drive. It's not really a "problem".
I have the same error code. My studio 1737 wouldn't boot nor would system restore fix the problem, After running diagnostics, I got error code ofoo: 137b
The fix for me. not sure why, guessing the dvd drive went partially south. ie the cd part would play music but the other went flaky. Replaced the drive with a great lg unit and life's good! Was able to re-install system then upgrade to win7! after max out memory install unit is faster than ever.! hope this helps

your machine is having a HARD DRIVE PROBLEM. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Confidence Test fail......

I have the same thing! And it will not see the upgrade cd.
