Error Message on Shutdown

Hello,

I am currently getting an error message when I shutdown my computer. After clicking on shutdown or restart, a new window pops up that says

"dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization Failed" in the title bar & "The application failed to initialize because the windows station is shutting down" in the main message area.

I don't have to click the "OK" button to shut down the computer, but it is still annoying. How do I get this error to go away?

Thank You

Eagle Scout,

Dwwin.exe is Doctor Watson, Windows automatic crash debugging tool.  Go to this link for information:  http://www.auditmypc.com/process/dwwin.asp. Run the free spyware removal scan to be sure your dwwin.exe is not a renamed spyware module.  If no bugs found, we'll need to determine the exact DLL that's causing the problem.

It doesn't look like it's spyware according to that site. Now what?

Thanks

I'm also getting error message at shutdown Mine says " aolloadexe-DLL initialization failed. This application failed because windows station is shutting down." I think it's caused by spysweeper. If I don't load spysweeper at startup and don't open it while pc is being used I don't get the message at shutdown. I never received the message before I installed spysweeper. When I have an hour to wait on hold I intend to call Webroot tech support about this.

I don't think Spysweeper is my problem. I don't have that on my computer, and I never have. I've also thoroughly searched my computer, and I can't find any trace of it.

Eagle Scout,

Click on Start|Control Panel|Administrative Tools|Event Viewer|Application.  Look for Red Circle with White X or Yellow Triangle with black ! events.  Right-click on those events. Left click on Properties.  Look for information related to your dwwin.exe shutdown error.  Note the source, category, event ID and detailed event info.  This should give us a clue as to what's causing the pop-up message at shutdown.
