Error message 0x80070005 when trying to use task scheduler

I am trying to schedule a task with task scheduler to do a regular back up and I keep getting error message "0x8007005.  Acess is denied. You do not have permission to perform the requested operation."  Apparently a Microsoft security update caused this problem and the Microsoft Article 904423 says that there is a hotfix for this, but Microsoft says I have to contact Dell since my computer came with XP pre-installed.  Does Dell have this hotfix available for download?

Thanks, Ron.  I'll give Microsoft a try.

This is a users forum. Nobody from Dell, aside from the Moderators, will read your post. Contact Dell Tech Support via email or chat to ask for that update. My guess is they'll send you back to Microsoft. In that case contact Microsoft. I've always gotten free support from them when I needed help with an update even though Dell installed XP on my system.
