Error message on rebooting

Sometimes when I restart my computer, I get an error message. Because the error message only appears when rebooting, I have less then a minute to write it down. Here is what I have so far:
mps.Application error
 The exception Privileged instruction 0xc00000...
I believe that the rest of the error message would read this:
...could not be terminated. Click on ok to terminate the program. Click on cancel to debug the program.
As far as I know, I have only recieved the error message one day which was yesterday. I have also recieved another error message that has started with this:
 The instruction...
That error message has appeared three times. Since this error message only appears on rebooting, I have no way of knowing when it will appear again and I don't have the full error written down as it only stays on screen less then a minute.

When you are in windows next time go to My Computer Properties by holding the Flag key down and tap Pause/Break key, go to the advanced Tab, then startup and recovery, then Untick "automatically restart" in the System Failure section, hit OK, OK. Now next time you get the BSOD it will remain up untill you hold the power button in to shut it down manually.

Post the entire error code when you can. Be sure it is exact.

The automatically restart option is already turned off. If I turn the option on and then off, hit ok, I get the following message:
System Control Panel Applet
If the pagefile on volume C: has an initial size of less then 510 megabytes, then the system may not be able to create a debugging information file if a stop error occurs. Continue anyway?
   Yes           No

Just so I'm not confused, if the error message appears now, the computer will not restart until I shut it down mannuall by holding in the power button, however the computer will restart normally otherwise. For example, if I download and install a software update and I'm asked to restart to complete installation. Am I correct on all this?

Yes, you are correct, it will only do this if a BSOD event happens.

Great. I didn't want to be confused. I'll post the error message on here the next time that it appears.

I'd like to update you on my issue. After clearing my temp folder, I start up AOL and then an error message appears, I click on OK and then I restart windows and my mystery error appears again right before windows starts up again, however, even though I have the computer to not auto restart when the blue screen of death appears, windows restarts anyways and I am unable to get the full error message written down. Windows starts up again, I start AOL and come back here to update you on my issue. Could it be that my error message is not considered to be a blue screen of death and that's why my computer restarts even though I have the option turned off?

Is the entire screen blue during the error? if it is then it is a BSOD.

You know what the screen looks like when windows is shutting down? That's what I have. If you could give me a link that shows the blue screen of death, I can tell you weather or not, that's what I have.

So that's what they call the blue screen of death. I'm not getting that. The way that I can discribe what I am getting is if you can picture the screen that says windows is shutting down and then a dialog box appears right there. Since the error message appears on rebooting, there is no way that I can get a screenshot, so I'm told. The print screen key will not work for my case. The only thing that I know about the error message that I'm geting is that the first line reads this:
mps.Application error
If the application refers to a program, what does the mps refer to?

Use your digital camera to catch the error. Do a couple of practice shots using different angles to be sure there is no glare.

I do have a digital camera so I'll use that. It may be awhile before the error message appears again, but when it does, I'll be ready. I need to know how to post a screenshot on here since I can't include one in my post.

I don't know if the text will be easy to read or not and I would hate to take a photo and not be able to read the text off the photo. As a second option, I'd like to just post the screenshot so that you'll be able to see what I see.
