Explanation of Windows Firewall log

I have a Dell 2400 running XP Home SP2 with the Windows Firewall running.  I also enabled the firewall log, and have a shortcut saved to my desktop for quick viewing.  The log contains thousands of listings, but I really don't understand much of it.  Does anyone know of a website that explains what 'Open TCP', 'Close TCP', 'Drop TCP', 'Info Events Lost' mean?  These are common terms with the Windows Firewall.

This KB article: "Troubleshooting Windows Firewall settings in Windows XP Service Pack 2" has a section on interpreting the log.
