Factory Install CTRL+F11 / DRIVERS

Hello everyone :)

Well I've been reading over this posts and have notice alot of you haveing similar problems, i don't feel so alone now.

This is my situation, maybe someone has had and recovered from a similar problem:
I decided to restore my PC to its original factory settings, although I had no clue about the Ctrl+F11 restore feature and installed from the Dell OEM Windows XP Home Edition CD that came with my Dell Dimension 4600c computer. Now that i have reinstalled my windows, some things do not function, like my internet broadband connection, audio, monitor (displays at 640 x 480 and cannot change the setting, reads monitor type 'Default'). Upon reading the forum i noticed that i need to install the drivers for this devices/hardware. My computer came with the resource CD withe drivers but don't know how to install them or how to know what driver i need to install?

In desperation, I tried pressing Ctrl+F11 but realized that it does not work and my computer does have this feature as i bought it 9/10/04. I'm not sure if my hidden partition was erased when i reinstalled windows from the cd or not. Here is a screen shot of my partitions, can anybody point out if i am no longer able to recover the Restore to Factory Settings feature, or how?

Anyways, any help, directions, or referals on my current situation will be gladly appreciated.

"Minor point, the 31 MByte partition is Dell diagnostics."

. . . and which is required for PC-Restore to work.  So in order to evaluate the chances of recovery via Ctrl+F11, it's necessary to determine that both special Dell partitions are still there.

It appears both of the special Dell partitions may still be intact.  On your screenshot, those would be the 31MB "Healthy (EISA Configuration)" and the 4.15 GB "Healthy (Unknown Partition)".

See recovery instructions at www.goodells.net/dellrestore/fixes.htm.  Since it appears you don't have a floppy drive, see instructions at the bottom of that page for creating a bootable CD.

(Note: the procedure in the other link you were given is more difficult and less accurate.  It has been obsolete for almost a year now because the dellmbr.bin file is no longer available for download.)
