Files and Settings Transfer Wizard - wants disk 2
I did a clean install of XP Home on my Dimension 4100. Prior to the install, I used Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (FASTWiz) to save my files and settings. In fact, I did it twice, once using the "standard save", the other time doing it custom. In both cases, I saved the file onto a CD.
Now that I've completed the XP install, installed all my software, done all of my Windows Updates, etc, all of which went smoothly thanks to some of the posts in the Dell Forum, I tried to transfer my files and settings using FASTWiz with no success.
Both disks act the same way. FASTWiz starts to access the CD (seems very "labored" - lots of noise as the drive seems to speed up/slow down - its the same on either of my two CD drives), its says "Transfer in Progress", "Please wait while the Wizard transfers files and settings", "Organizing your files and settings for transfer" and then says "Please insert Disk 2". That is a problem because there never was a disk 2 either time that I saved onto CD.
Windows explorer shows one file USMT2IMG as a DAT file, size 633,518 KB on the CD.
Any suggestions? I also have all of my files manually saved onto CD - should I just use that instead? What "settings" will I lose? I'm concerned less with the effort than with what I might lose along the way.
In advance, thanks for your ideas.

I find I have better luck if I first copy the USMT to the desktop . . then restore . . not sure why. Once I am satisfied the files and settings are restored, I delete the file.
