Folder names change when I do a backup

I am using Windows XP Professional in a Dell 4600 computer. Also, I am using a program called Casper XP to back up my C: hard drive onto an extrernal hard drive. After doing a backup and looking at the backup folders, I discovered that a folder's name was changed in the backup. On my C: drive, the folder's name is: C:\Documents and Settings\Richard\My Documents. In the backup on my external hard drive, the folder's name was changed to : C:\Documents and Settings\Richard\Richard's Documents. Some other folders' names were also changed in the Documents and Settings\Richard\My Documents folder in the backup on my external hared drive. For example, the names of the original My Pictures and My Photos folders were changed in the backup to Richard's Pictures and Richard's Photos.
1) Why do the names of certain folders change when they are backed up?
2) Are there any other folders or files whose names typically are changed when backups are made?
3) Is there any way to prevent the name change from happening when doing backups?
Thanks.
Richard

The names are probably changing because of the fact that Windows already has folders with that name set up under like named accounts, and if you tried to transfer the backed up folders into a like named account, it wouldn't work, because there's already going to be a "My Documents," "My Pictures," etc.  I'd be willing to bet that there's something in the application documentation that explains this, so you might have a look at the Help files in the backup program.

I think it's normal, as Flooby says, to avoid confusion between different users' My documents folders.

When I copy (burn) my data to DVD using Roxio DVD data project (which is how I back up my data), the My documents folder is renamed on the DVD as myusername's documents; The My Music folder is similarly renamed. I don't have other user accounts, but presumably if I copied their My documents folder they would be renamed according to the user account name.
