Generic Host Process Error Message

Occasionally, I receive a generic host process for Win32 Services error after I start or restart my computer. When I select error reporting, I am directed to a Windows site that has a solution (http://oca.microsoft.com/en/response.aspx?SGD=b17eae55-a5c5-4c4b-927c-bb47ec54853f&SID=1501). The directions I'm given ask me to access an Update for Windows XP website. Supposedly, if I download and execute a file, I won't have this error any more. However, I executed the file and still get the same error message every so often. What gives? Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the file
WindowsXP-KB894391-x86-ENU.exe?

That is supposed to be the hotfix that will solve your problem: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894391
