Getting a couple of errors on startup

I have a new Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with a dual core processor and a gig of memory running Vista Premium.  I keep getting this system error mentioning Kerberos.  This is what it says

Unable to initialize the security package Kerberos for server side authentication.  The data field contains the error number.

Seems like that this started appearing after I installed the new service pack.  Don't really know what it means.

The other error is about the parellel port which I don't even have.  This error has been on here since day one.  This is what it says....

The Parallel port driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Can't find this service anywhere.  I have no printers installed on here except for some document printer that prints to file.

any ideas???

WORKAROUND
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

These errors can be safely ignored if you have removed the parallel port connector or if you are using a printer that is connected to the parallel port connector of a docking station.

Alternatively, if you do not require the parallel port, you can disable the Parport service in the registry to stop the error messages from being logged. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit.exe in the Programs list.

2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Parport

3. Right-click the Start entry, and then click Modify.

4. In the Value data box, type 4, and then click OK.
5. Exit Registry Editor.
You can use the following values for the Start entry.
2   Automatic. This is the default setting.
3   Manual.
4   Disable

set it to Disable, 4

Thanks.  Just changed the registry for the parport.  Havent dont anything about the Kerberos yet but downloaded that Autorun program and see where I can uncheck the box but haven't done that yet.

Used the "autoruns" program and unchecked the box next to the Kerberos Security Package and rebooted.  Afterwards could not bring up the event manager where all the stuff is logged.  Said the service was stopped.  Checked it out and still set to auto but not running.  Couldn't start it.  Came up with an error.  Went back to autoruns and re-checked the Kerberos and after reboot, the logging service was running and I could check the logs. Would like to try disabeling it thru the regedit but don't know which value to change; incase this was caused by something in the autoruns program.  Otherwise will just have to let the error go and just disreguard it.
