I had the same problem with an update, fortunately it wasn't an important one. I talked to someone on a microsoft 800 number, they gave me a procedure, that didn't work either.

It eventually was resolved when I had to do a system reinstallation and the update installed.

Jesse L. I don't follow what you are telling the OP to do.

Are you saying to turn off automatic updates or decline installing KB952069?

What about security?

Dell needs to find out how to fix this so KB952069 installs properly. OK?

Hi,

The ffg. are my precise updates that keep on getting installed after every reboot:

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2760411)

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2760588)

Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB2760583)

The install re-occurrence happens on my machines with either Windows 7 or XP.
