There is no point in running a chkdsk - the drive is toast. Mount it as a secondary in another system and retrieve data if you've some that you don't have backed up.
You can get a copy of the XP CD here, but a repair is pointless on a drive that's history:

Enj63, That link you gave is for the extended warranty on the nvidia gpu's.
